I am interested in providing my 5th and 6th grade students with a CAD option to use for their “sketches” this season. They already have some familiarity with Tinkercad, but I am going to also look into OnShape because I’ve read that the “Snap Mode” is a bit more straightforward. We do need to use something that will run on a Chromebook and Chrome OS. I’m wondering if anyone has any experience doing robotics CAD modeling with 10-12 year olds. If so, did you use Tinkercad or OnShape, or is there another program that seemed to work better with the younger age group? I’m also in the market for a complete (or almost complete) library of VEX IQ parts.
