When will the new digital notebook templates be ready to use?
I’ve been wondering this too.
When and where will the templates be released?
Notebook templates are produced by VEX Robotics, with renderings of game objects. Teams are free to use whatever model for their notebooks as long as it meets guidelines in the Guide to Judging for the various programs. I suspect you will see a lot of material published after this and next week (the RECF summit).
So, to be sure, are these templates fine for use in RECF Engage/Achieve competitions?

I would suggest adding this question to the QnA Site linked here. Games.rec.org.
I would like to get clarification about Game Q&A and Judging Q&A being separate processes as in the past.
@Michelle_Lonsinger @Ben_Mitchell I suspect you guys can clarify while RECFforum gets in sync with this season.
We are working on adding Q&A for Judging to the games.recf.org site. It should be live in the coming days.
That question can absolutely be asked on the judging Q&A but I can provide a short answer here: use whatever works for your students. We have never had a specified template or format for notebooks.
Ultimately the Engineering Notebook is only useful if the team is using it, so go with what students want to use that best fits their circumstances. I would also heartily recommend encouraging them to be creative, using the template as starting point to discover their own style.
With all that said, please ask the question once the Judging Q&A is released as I’m sure others will benefit from it!
